SMaRTE investigates innovations in smart rail maintenance and passenger satisfaction

Trains can now schedule their own maintenance, preventing breakdowns and delays. The same EU-funded team making this possible also suggests improvements to passenger experience.

SMaRTE Consortium Meeting

The partners of SMaRTE projectmet for the consortium meeting. The meeting was held at the Instituto SuperiorTecnico (IST), University of Lisbon, on 22nd and 23rd May 2018. It was a well attended and constructive occasion for sharing the work done in the different research areas during the first months of the project, as well as a good opportunity for internal coordination and alignment on future activities.

1st SMaRTE workshop successfully organised in Dublin

The 1st SMaRTE stakeholders’ workshop took place in Dublin on the 11th of April 2018. 13 participants from different countries joined to talk about the future of passengers’ profiles, new journeys typologies affecting their business and the latest macro-trends in the sector. The exercise was very interesting and fruitful and the outcomes will be beneficial for the next steps of the project.
